Health talk and community awareness campaign is a health talk drive from community to community to sensitize them on roles they need to play against outbreak of infectious diseases in their communities. Many diseases and medical problems have a “health education campaign” or “awareness campaign” associated with them. The goal of such a campaign is to make people conscious of the impact of diseases and to provide them first-hand information for the prevention of such diseases.
Creating a health awareness campaign is an effective way to prevent the spread of diseases affecting communities. For example, community members can help prevent HIV transmission and create positive environments for people already infected by the virus by spreading the right information throughout the community.
We educate communities through media campaign by the use of health talk, training and workshops, electronic media, social media, posters, billboards and newsletter as public enlightenment for the people to know more about the recommended drugs and prescribed vaccine preventable (such as Measles, Mumps, Pertussis/Whooping Cough, Rubella); and Other Serious (such as Meningitis, Legionella, Mosquito borne diseases, Avian Influenza, Hepatitis B and C). We also carry out the promotion of child’s rights law, promotion of sexuality and reproductive health education, fight against child labour and human trafficking etc.
