GAF have always believed that good education makes a difference in the life of every child in Nigeria and across Africa continent. Evening School Projects for Age 6-10 years Disadvantaged children in rural communities is an initiative by GAF to promote education for all in Africa. Education is a fundamental right that every child deserves. However, for some children, this basic right is often denied due to various reasons such as poverty, family obligations, helping parents to go to farms in the morning when they are supposed to be in School, selling markets and hawking products, materials around to meet their daily basic needs. As a result of this, early preparatory class access to education are vehemently resisted by their parents.
The purpose of this Evening School project for the Rural Communities is aimed at providing education to street children who work during the day to support their families. The programme offers them the opportunity to attend school in the evenings when they are free from their daily work. This way, they can continue their education and gain knowledge and skills that will help them in the future.
The project is designed to create an enabling environment for children to learn and grow. The programme provides free education, school supplies, and learning materials to students. Additionally, the project employs trained teachers who specialize in working with underprivileged children, providing quality education that caters to their specific needs. In addition, it provides free education, vocational training, and life skills education, empowering children to break the cycle of poverty and achieve their full potential.
